Burning Pulse is an energetic, seductive and bold art series that explores themes of temptation and mystery. The dashing power and danger of red unifies the dynamic approach of honouring the thrill of romance. Depicting the intense wild fire we feel inside of us when we get seduced. The acrylic Napthol Red Deep mixed with pure Mars Black paint is meant to intrigue the eye as well as a stimulating the physical body.

It was important for me to tap into a bolder colour and subject matter. As a gay abstract artist, honouring sexuality through art has been a theme that always fascinated and inspired me. I wanted to start applying it to my own work in a bolder way. The idea of pushing the audience’s own reflection when looking at my art is important to me and the colour red, mixed with black latex, heavy textures and dynamic movements will hopefully ignite particular feelings for each viewer.
